Early Learning Coalition

The Early Learning Coalition of Palm Beach County is a nonprofit organization committed to monitor the quality of early childcare and pre-schools for kids in Palm Beach County. With a wide range of affordable programs as well as early learning and voluntary pre-kindergarten plans, the Coalition serves more than 50,000 children (with a focus on birth to age 5) and their families.

The group was founded in 2000 and works with 31 comparable organizations in Florida. These organizations were all created following the enactment of the School Readiness Act, which consolidated Florida’s early learning services into one integrated program.

The Mission

The mission of the Early Learning Coalition is to encourage kids, as they get ready for school in voluntary pre-kindergarten and after-school programs. All of this increases the likelihood of children achieving future educational success and becoming constructive members of their communities. The Coalition seeks to promote the physical, social, emotional and scholarly needs of Palm Beach County children during their pre-school years.

The Vision

The vision of the Early Learning Coalition is to ensure a wide-ranging and well-integrated system of affordable services for all families and their children (from birth to 5 years old) so children enter school ready to learn and achieve success in life.

Early Childhood Education

The Vision

Early Childhood Education of Palm Beach County is dedicated to deliver quality early education know-how to prepare students for success in school and life. The goal is to accomplish this, while valuing and appreciating the needs, languages, and cultures of all students, families, and communities it helps.

The Beliefs

Each student has the right to be treated with self-respect and esteem and accorded a safe and encouraging early learning environment to meet his/her needs. All students have a right to an age-appropriate and stimulating scholastic program that integrates learning opportunities with high expectations.  All participants must be committed to high standards. Competent, well-trained and nurturing staff are essential to the positive application of quality early learning education programs. Parents and encouraging adults are important for children's academic success and must be included as full partners in their children's early childhood education. It is the responsibility of the leadership to foster and to display high quality education practices to guarantee student success.
